    Default SouthEast PA Ride...

    *UPDATE*

I haven't been on here for a while but I'll go ahead and post this:

I'm trying to get a good ride going on some backroads. I know it short notice but I'd like to do it this Saturday (5/23). Date has been changed to 5/30

I look at some roads on I'd like to start in the Reading area,

    -Route 10 to Oxford
    -Oxford to Lewisville
-841 (Lewisville) to 82 (Doe Run)
    -82 to 724 (Birdsboro)
    -724 to 568 (Gibraltar)
    -568 ending at 222 (Adamstown)

The ride is going to consist of a lot of sweepers. Roundtrip is going to be in the neighborhood of 125 miles, give or take. I do want to make a couple of stops for short rest and possibly a drink (H2O). I haven't done the run but it maybe about 2- 2.5 hours.

I got the route plan from the following website and if y'all want to look up the roads to get a better idea. Dutch Country - East, Pennsylvania

If anyone is interested let me know. If anyone has feedbacks or comments fire away.

You do know the secton of 82 that links drect with 724 on the south side of birdsboro has been closed for like 15 years right? Road washed out and they never fixed it, you have to detour on 345 to go around the closed section.

    ***UPDATE***

Ride is going to be next Saturday. It was short notice and the weather isn't looking to promising for tomorrow. So those of you that want to ride let me know so I can get a rough number of how many people are going to go.

Too bad you postponed it, its beautiful outside right now!!! I'm in Northeast MD and if I had'nt nearly looped the bike a month ago and broke 3 bones in my foot I'd definately be down for this! Although next saturday is 5 weeks and I will have all my new gear so I might be there, probably shouldn't risk it though. BTW the 10 day forecast on weather.com is calling for rain showers next saturday in NE MD. If you postpone it another week after that I'm sure I could come, lol. Could bring a friend or two as well, although they ride gixxers.
