I just had my first experience with Roger Lyle last week. I've done a bunch of track days, but it was my brother's first time. I have to say I wasn't impressed especially for a first time rider. Their classroom time entailed 15 minutes before their first session and that was it! They just glossed over flags and never really delved into body position or assessing a corner. They did have control riders for the beginners and instructors that were very approachable for all levels. There were four groups so you only got 15 minute sessions... I guess I'm used to 20 minute sessions so I feel a little cheated for $200 and even more so since there were so many crashes that it cut into my session time.

It was a VERY laid back organization which is fine if you've done some track days and know what's going on, but fairly lacking for the beginner.

    Good information hex!

I've spent all of my time with TPM so far, no real complaints about them yet. I'm pretty happy, and I don't have enough time to use multiple groups for my track days.

I've never been with TPM yet. I started with Fasttrax (now Motoseries) and they are GREAT! Especially for beginners. Mid-Ohio is good, and the penguin racing school in New Hampshire was good. Like I said though... not real impressed with Roger Lyle.

And to illustrate my feeling about them: my brother was doing his second ever track day with them in New Jersey and was following one of their instructors around and ended up crashing in the second session... I honestly don't trust the instructor he was following and felt that he doesn't properly assess rider's skills before "towing" them past their limits. Really disappointed in them. If you do end up going with them, they have a $25 membership fee, but you get a $25 discount if you sign up 10 days in advance. You also get a $25 discount if you are in the military or Peace Corp.
